The Gateway of India

... is a monument in the form of a stone arch (think Arc de Triomphe, but in basalt), built to commemorate the landing of King George V and Queen Mary at Apollo Bunder (an important pier for passengers and goods) on their visit to India in 1911.

Wikipedia describes Apollo Bunder (now known as Wellington Pier) as "a magnet for tourists visiting the gateway and nearby Taj building, going to the Elephanta Caves or coming in remembrance of the 26/11 attacks."

The Elephanta Caves (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) are a collection of temples predominantly dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, on an island in Mumbai Harbour. The "26/11 attacks" were a series of shooting and bombing attacks carried out by Islamic terrorists, across the city of Mumbai, over four days in 2008.
